Mr. Thurman is a member of the American Academy Of Adoption Attorneys (AAAA) and is listed in the Adoptive Families of America's (AFA) Guide To Adoptions. Mr. Thurman has provided representation in numerous adoptions of all types, including independent adoptions, agency adoptions, interstate adoptions, international adoptions, and surrogacy situations. Mr. Thurman has represented adoptive parents, birth parents and/or adoptees in interstate adoptions between the State of North Carolina and the following states:

EDUCATION
Mr. Thurman is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina. He was awarded a Juris Doctor Decree with honors from the University of North Carolina in 1983. He has engaged in the private practice of law since that time.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Mr. Thurman was raised in Asheville, North Carolina, and presently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is married to the former Mary Beth Styles and has three children.
