Mark Johnson maintains an active surrogacy and reproductive law practice in the Metro Atlanta, Georgia area. He represented the parents in the first gestational surrogacy in the state of Georgia, as well as the parents in the first artificial insemination surrogacy in the state.Cases have successfully concluded in the full recognition of parental rights in the clients, full release of the surrogate from parental obligations and appropriate issuance of birth certificates. Services provided include drafting of egg donation, surrogacy, and cryopreservation contracts, as well as representation in required court proceedings in the Metropolitan Atlanta area and throughout the state. Cases have addressed multi-state issues such as location of surrogates, infertile couples, and infertility clinics in sister states.
The holder of law degrees from both Emory University and the University of Georgia, Mark Johnson is also a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a member of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association, and serves on the Hospital Authority of Cobb County, Georgia.
