Terri James is a 1992 cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School and honors graduate of Stanford University. She is currently a litigation associate at the New York law firm, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. Immediately after graduating from Harvard, Terri worked in Paul, Weiss' litigation department before accepting a fellowship at the Center for Reproductive Law & Policy, where she worked as a litigator and spoke around the country on reproductive rights issues. One of her speeches, "Women of Color and Low Income Women: Barriers to Reproductive Freedom," will be published in Defending Our Name: Black Women in the Academy 1894-1994. After completing her fellowship at the Center for Reproductive Law and Policy, Terri received a second fellowship to work at an ACLU affiliate in Chicago, Illinois before returning to the litigation department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, New York, NY.
