Fertilization:
This refers to the penetration of the egg by the sperm and the joining of genetic materials to result in an embryo.
Follicle:
This is the fluid-filled sac in the ovary that has nurtured the ripening egg and from which the egg is released during ovulation.
FSH:
Follicle Stimulating Hormone is produced and released from the pituitary gland that stimulates the ovary to ripen a follicle for ovulation. Also, it stimulates the production of sperm in the testicles in men.
