Cryobank:
A place where tissues (i.e. sperm, oocytes, embryos) are stored and preserved by freezing.
Cryopreservation:
This deep-freezing process is used to preserve and store extra embryos produced during an assisted reproductive technique cycle. These "frozen" embryos can be thawed and used later, in future cycles. Gametes (sperm and oocytes) can also undergo the same process for use at a later date.
